Martin Schmidberger founded his sole proprietorship, Maschinen Schmidberger, in 1983. At that time, the focus was on the trade in used carpentry machines, which he acquired and modernized in order to sell them to small joinery companies again. With increasing demand, he began to import new machine parts and started manufacturing steel housings for these machines. By expanding his customer base, he began to make special steel products in many different areas. One day the request came to build a machine that was made entirely of stainless steel. Martin Schmidberger also gratefully accepted this challenging order. This was the first step in the company's entry into the biogas industry. After just a few weeks, the first stuffing screw was ready and could be installed.
